As part of the University task in terms of sustainability, there is directing, involving and promoting, at a regional, national and global level, the minimization of the negative effect resulting from the use of resources on the environment, the economy, the society and health, during the development of its fundamental and administrative functions as a way of living and influencing on the society during its transition to sustainable lifestyles.
Based on this premise, the Research Center in Agricultural Production, the Faculty of Forest Sciences and the Direction of Forestry Development come together to carry out the 1st Symposium on Sustainable Production of Beef Cattle in Mexico, South Africa and Sweden in an era of climate change, in which experiences and challenges will be shared in terms of Sustainable Production as an opportunity to face the climate change from an integrating perspective offered by the agricultural and forest ecosystems for the conservation and use of biodiversity, soil and water resources. This will be achieved with the objective to better satisfy global production and market requirements, being a key factor in the livestock system, and consequently having a more efficient meat production.
